Cabinet to consider SA army plan

Cabinet to consider SA army plan :

"PLANS for 2000 soldiers to be based in Adelaide will be considered as part of a major Army review to be taken to Cabinet within weeks.
Defence Minister Robert Hill's submission will consider the Army's equipment and strategic needs into the future."

That's funny. When they shut down Woodside and took 3RAR east, it was because Adelaide wasn't a good place to have troops, even though the Woodside barracks had served the army well during WWII and had a strong unit there. If they need capital to reconstruct and relocate...it's because they dismantled it all before. Adelaide always had army and air force people and they were always a part of our community. Suddenly we were no longer convenient. This time they plan to relocate it, perhaps, near the RAAF base. I don't know that it's that good to have a concentration of military personnel and their families. When they are mixed in they have their own families to support them as well as members of the local communities in which they live. As long as they know what they are doing, I guess.
