Bendigo dig to unearth secrets of Chinese kiln.

Bendigo dig to unearth secrets of Chinese kiln.:

"An archaeological dig starting in the central Victorian town of Bendigo today is expected to reveal the first known example of an old Chinese brick or ceramic kiln outside South-East Asia."

Bendigo remains one of my favourite places in Australia. The Chinese contributed significantly to the development and growth of one of our oldest cities and Bendigo openly acknowledges it. The tunnel kiln was discovered by accident last year so this is very exciting. Maybe the kiln will become another addition to the lovely Chinese museum in Bendigo. The discovery of such and old industial kiln will add more knowledge to the strong picture of Chinese life in one of our big gold rush towns.
