Australians work to Make Poverty History :
"Thousands of Australians will unite on Saturday for the second global white band day to urge world leaders to take action against poverty.
More than 400,000 Australians already have white bands in preparation for the day, with a number of events taking place across the country."
I am not sure what the score card is on making poverty history because it may well have been side tracked by other events. We made a pledge to make poverty history and the G8 summit made some pledges too. The second global white band day is about reminding ourselves and our leaders we want an end ot poverty because in this world, in 2005, we can do better.
