Cuban singer Ibrahim Ferrer dies. :

"Cuban singer Ibrahim Ferrer, known worldwide for his work on the Buena Vista Social Club project, has died at a Havana hospital at the age of 78."

I have a French DVD of the Buena Vista Club and it's one of my most watched DVDs. I love the music but I am also inspired to see such massive talent coming from what is considered a poor area. When you look at the people they have nothing much materially, but their spirits are strong and their capacity to create great things is astounding. To me it always says that possessions and money are not going to give you the awe inspiring talent and creativity which moves everyone. I haven't given up my acquisitions but I have stopped pursing money, money and more money. To hear that Ibrahim Ferrer is gone is sad , sad news to me, because I just love listening to him on that DVD. It will make my DVD even more special. He was an amazing talent and an inspiring individual.
