Metromedicos

The Australian: Doctors cool on Antarctica :

"Australia's Antarctic program is finding it increasingly difficult to recruit doctors for short-term contracts at its stations on the frozen continent. Despite competitive salary packages of up to $151,000 a year, specialist training and free board and keep, the Australian Antarctic Division will this week be forced to make a national appeal for doctors to venture south."

They won't even come this far south of the city. Why would they go much further south to Antarctica? They won't go to regional or rural Australia either. We have a distinct batch of metromedicos.
