The Australian: New woolly wonder in New Zealand as Shrek2 is shorn [April 05, 2005]:
"SHREK, a New Zealand sheep who won international fame a year ago with his substantial 27.5 kilogram fleece, has been left bleating in the background with the emergence of an even bigger woolly wonder."
I saw a picture of shrek last year. it was a huge sheep, so Shrek2 must be something to behold. Oddly enough, NZ isn't the big sheep country people think it is. Their woolen jumpers are superb, though, so soft and cosy. Australian wool is also excellent quality but makes warmer, "stronger" jumpers. I get the Bendigo Woolen Mills wool and wouldn't use anything else because its colours and quality are both impressive, but my NZ jumpers are favourites , too, in winter because they have a fine, soft finish. I must look in Adelaide next time I go because we used to have a Canterbury shop in town where we could get clothes from Canterbury in NZ where our sister city Christchurch is. Canterbury clothes are good quality casual!
