The Jakarta Post - Finland venue for Aceh peace talks

The Jakarta Post - Finland venue for Aceh peace talks:

"HELSINKI, Finland (AP): Aceh rebels and an Indonesian government delegation have arrived in Helsinki ahead of six days of talks aimed at bringing a lasting peace to the tsunami-ravaged region."

We didn't get news of this . We have been fixated on child abuse, older people maybe having to work to 75 and the default pricing of medication. I am so glad that people who have such different views have decided to sit somewhere neutral and try to work out their differences. This is 2005. It is time for us to try a different way and we are far better when we work together. The world is so much better when we share our common ground and unite to work on a common project. I hope the talks go well and that all the differences are aired. I think we have forgotten that sometimes a lot of difficult stuff has to be said and aired before any kind of agreement can be made. Everything has to come out into the open and it is not always pleasant. For some reason we have become fearful of saying what we think and talking very openly and honestly so that the path can be cleared for agreement. I think we have forgotten how to talk and yet, when we do, the results are astounding and everyone feels so much better even if they agree to disagree.
