"SOUTH Australia's lack of a tourism 'icon', like the Sydney Harbour Bridge or Uluru, makes it difficult to draw international visitors here, according to the people who sell Australian holidays overseas."
Well, that's a shame, but I really don't think overseas tourists just want to see icons. The ones I meet here love the ocean, the wide open spaces, the fact they can drive and drive through the countryside. They like the wildlife, the relaxed pace, the food and wine. So if we haven't got icons, bad luck. We've got something better..us and our OS visitors and we happen to like each other.
