We have to look after our health and our environment. We are leading busy, at times very worrying, and complicated, lives at the moment. We need clear ideas in our head as to how we can manage all the permutations coronavirus can bring to our lives. It needs to be straight forward. Like seatbelts. We do not want to go down the using mobile phones whilst driving path where the message just isn't getting through.
All RATs come with safe disposal instructions but sometimes the instructions are written in such small print you cannot read them. SA Health has all the information you need on RATs , including disposal. Concession card holders can still get free ones this month and two of the months out of May, June and July. You go to a participating chemist and show your concession card. The information is on servicesaustralia. There are also clear instructions on 10play as to how to dispose of them. Seal them in a plastic bag provided or that you have and put them in the general waste bin. Wash your hands.
Same with masks. We don't just drop them in the car park at the shops! Put them in a sealed plastic bag and put in general waste at the shops or home. SA Health provides a lot of useful information about masks. The marthastewart site explains about mask disposal and how to do it safely.
Health and hygiene matter and we need to do things as second nature so we are not wasting time and energy on either making it harder on ourselves or spreading disease.
