There is not enough information here to tell whether the Canadian man intentionally killed his wife or not. Surely there is a post mortem report which can tell the difference between crushing and strangulation. The couple had been allegedly fighting. It is a very strange case and of course, a weight discrepancy will make a difference if the fight was physical. I think the article is right...intention is the crux of the issue....and yet another solid reminder that weight differential can have serious implications if there are no reasonable ways of solving disputes.
