What to wear when it's raining

What to wear when it's raining : "We also saw a deluge of fashion clashes: StayDry macs with sandals, cagoules with culottes, bare legs with jumpers."

We need this help. We need to see the lighter side of this weather and just get ourselves through it. We are mainly black woollen coats, but we do have people in shorts and T shirts...why??? It's wet and freezing. We have gone big on scarves. Some are very stylish and draped tastefully but many are just big warm woolly lumps of random colour around the neck. We have gone for socks and "ballet' shoes too...not a good look and others have been wearing strong, sturdy shoes. Umbrellas have lost ground since they were blown inside out a couple of weeks back. Hats have become thick , woolly domes on our heads with or without the dangling tassles down the side. Hoodies are nowhere near as popular as I would have thought but they have been associated with undesirable activities so that has brought them out of fashion in the mainstream. Ditto black tea cosies on your head. Hats on the whole are not popular here because we cannot decide on a hat which is association free. Just a hat...without a lifestyle attached. Jackets are popular, but they are grey windcheater material with graffiti type designs and they look messy. We are basically grey, blue and there are bits of chocolate and the odd splash of red .It actually would be interesting to see how we pan out at the moment because we are just chucking on what is keeping us warm!!!
