Oz Harvest

Oz Harvest: "OzHarvest is a non-denominational charity that rescues excess food which would otherwise be discarded. This excess food is distributed to charities supporting the disadvantaged and at risk in Sydney and Canberra."

The food we waste and leave over is put to good use by OzHarvest. It runs on determination and goodwill and yet it is only serving two of our cities. The people looking after those two cities are working hard to help others have a full stomach. OzHarvest does this at no cost to donors and those who receive the food. It truly is an act of charity. We do care and we do want to care and organisations like Ozharvest show us the way. At least take a moment to look around this site to see if there is something you can do..big or small. Our socks and jocks campaign for the homeless was a big success in Adelaide because a radio station picked up the cause and made it possible. We fell in behind them. OzHarvest has both the will and the way...we can get in behind them too. It has been cold and wet this winter but there is nothing cold and wet about what these people do.
