Lawyer under scrutiny after questioning teen rape victim

Lawyer under scrutiny after questioning teen rape victim: "'Why should anyone have to relive one night's experience over three days? It doesn't make sense,' said Ms Wagner, who was questioned by three barristers over three days after being raped by three brothers."

The legal and psychological professionals of our country need to do better than this. Oh, I know. She might be lying. We have to be sure. I don't know the details of this case and nor should I . I just need to know people are treated humanely and with respect in our system whether they have given others respect or not. If the rape case is clear then I think there needs to be a better way of questioning the victim without them having to go over and over and over it. They at least need to be in a supportive environment. You can see why people don't report rape and that means we are allowing it to continue. Then where there is doubt, we still need to be looking at a better method for ascertaining critical facts and information. Interrogation under duress isn't going to work, really. I think we need to consider all of this and get some input from people who ought to be able to offer help in devising better strategies.
