Murdoch, Cosgrove among 2020 participants : "Prime Minister Kevin Rudd says the 1,000 participants for next month's 2020 summit in Canberra have been chosen."
This consultative concept is very new for us and it's actually quite exciting and interesting to think so many people will get together and think about our nation. It won't be perfect and there are things we shall learn and be able to improve upon , but as an approach I really like it. I should like to know who they are and what their credentials are. I'd like to know the programme of the summit and I'd be really happy if we could be included in some way by way of some video files made available and even podcasts of stuff which will become ground breaking. Some of this summit might be ordinary but there will be bits which will be ground breaking and the more we adopt this approach the more we shall free up our ideas and thinking. With that many people involved the influence through out our nation will be felt so the whole tone of it is critical. I am really looking forward to seeing how this goes because I think it is a bold move in the right direction and the next one will be even better. We'll grow through this.
