Firms jostle for Mitsubishi site : "A COMPANY hoping to build the army's new fleet of trucks and another with a plan for hybrid cars are among the queue of hopefuls lining up to move into Adelaide's soon-to-be-vacant Mitsubishi car factory."
Mitsubishi has served us well on that site for all the reasons I have blogged before. It's a prime site in a key area and it is a landmark site. From that point of view , whatever takes over has to be part of our state and represent our state. Mitsubishi has done a lot in its time here to be a leading force in the development of our young, to provide learning opportunities and information for our young and to develop a workplace which at one stage had the best practice and was cutting edge for Adelaide. over the years Mitsubishi has served us well. Whatever goes into that site has to be something worthwhile in my opinion and I should like to think that it would show the same sorts of initiatives in helping and guiding our students. There has been talk of a state of the art let's get really serious about recycling development for that sight...and certainly anything which fitted in with our initiatives to be dealing with carbon emissions and being a cleaner , greener state would be good. We'll see.
