End of Mitsubishi opens way to new State Government development

End of Mitsubishi opens way to new State Government development: "About 100 workers gathered inside the factory today for an official function to mark the production of the last vehicles, with one, Mario Bosio, describing it as a sad day for the company and staff."

It is a sad day. It'll be sadder if those workers don't get new jobs in a hurry. People have offered and will keep offering and I hope our team effort will pay off for the workers. The best thing they can know is we are standing along side them. I am so pleased some important people went along today to show some solidarity and compassion in what is a heart rending event for our state. It means we can haul together and fix this blow together. It was so important for notables to be there and I am proud of us for doing that and for the government to step in and make an offer on the site. There is so much history there. So much of us. It needs to be treated with respect and we really are hoping those workers will be snapped up now by other companies. They at least have some good transferable skills.
