Consumer confidence hits 15-year low

Consumer confidence hits 15-year low : "High interest rates and rising prices have left heavily indebted consumers at their gloomiest in 15 years, which economists say could result in a speedier slowdown in the economy."

Yes, we shall have to make changes but I don't know that they'll be bad. The material phase has to come to an end because our homes are bursting with things and we cannot recycle the surpassed electronic stuff very easily so we have excess. We have had a good time with our toys and eating out and playing. Maybe it is time for a restructure and a rethink and notice it is quite nice to be at home enjoying the company of friends and family....and pursuing things which don't burn up the dollars.Time to give up the kindy for grown ups. We have been a bit over the top. The only thing getting to us is how indulged the rich are and how they are prone to flaunt the excess to a ridiculous extent. It is laughable really so we are laughing about that. Those people who will be suffering because of the added expenses of petrol and food are the ones we are worrying about. Most of us have enough and we are fed up with the giant box houses . Our environment has been transformed by these edifices and truly, we don't all need giant box homes blocking our views and creating dust. If hauling back means we'll enjoy nature and the simple life , it is not a problem. The hardship likely to be endured by some needs to be addressed because the rich have tipped the balance of our "economy" and have done pretty well.
