Adelaide sets another heatwave record

Adelaide sets another heatwave record : "The city's forecast maximum of 40 degrees today is the 12th consecutive day of temperatures above 35 degrees - the longest heatwave ever in any Australian capital city."

It's the sort of record you don't want. Some people are starting to really stress because we are still supposed to be living a normal lifestyle. There has been an increase of stupid, mad, fast drivers. There has been an increase in tempers and then we have had the fainters and the vomiters and the utterly lethargic. It's the lack of sleep and then having to do normal things. We are given no consideration and it is starting to have a psychological impact. Those of us who are coping have slowed down and we are not letting ourselves be pushed along. We are taking more care and accepting that it is just too darn hot for most things. The fires are worrying, but what else do we expect. If arson is involved I hope we catch them and then I hope they are made to feel hot and bothered for a very long time. We do not need the added burden of fire bugs. But some people are just going troppo around now. The relentlessness of the heat is difficult when there is no respite...except for people like me who just thrive on it! I love feeling hot and warm and I like that warm air and I sleep heaps better!
