Adelaide booming

AdelaideNow... More flights for business needs: "THE number of flights from Adelaide to Sydney and Melbourne will be ramped up by Qantas, in a bid to meet the demands of business travellers."

I heard on the news we were going to be the next boom city and the flights increasing was a sign of this they said. I can't see us booming. We are too bloomin' fed up with being hot, bothered and dried up. A boom suggests things flourishing, but with kids at shopping centres instead of schools, hoons driving people crazy in the night, weirdo public transport arrangements and total and complete lack of water and general crunching and crisping of the environment,it doesn't make it feel anything like a boom is coming. We are more like to blow a gasket because we are not getting our needs met. That'll send a boom through our state because when we are pushed past the stage of reason, we are intractable and incredibly tough. It's why SA was the first place in the world to give women the vote. We are more than patient and reasonable but when it starts becoming unfair and way past that point of reason and fair dealing...look out and we are getting to that point.
