30,000 pupils miss all school choices : "Many of the parents have missed out because they are refusing to choose inadequate local schools and are instead taking the gamble of applying to better ones farther from their homes, where they have a smaller chance of winning a place."
There are a lot of English and Scottish people enrolling their children here in Adelaide. The upsurge is quite astounding. Everywhere you go you hear the accents at the moment and one thing is clear, which has never happened before, they are relieved to be here. Normally English and Scottish people are very homesick for a while. At the moment they are enthusiastically launching themselves into our heat and lifestyle...and the kids are being enrolled in our schools. There'll be an upsurge in soccer players and athletes!
