Cutting the cord on HDTVs

Cutting the cord on HDTVs : "The technology uses a virgin band of the radio spectrum, around 60 gigahertz. That lets it avoid interference from other wireless networking gear and allows for extremely high data transfer rates, according to John Marshall, chairman of WirelessHD. Unlike other wireless TV solutions, WirelessHD won't need to compress the signal, which can result in a loss of quality."

I cannot wait until we live in a wire free zone. Cutting the cord will be brilliant. Nothing to plug in, nothing to trip over, no masses of tangled wires to keep all this cutting edge technology going. Can't believe we are in 2008 and we are still limited by wall plugs. That's not very new millennium. Well, at last, the HDTV is going to be wireless and once they make breakthoughs with television sets the domino effect will take place and yippee...we'll be wifi!!
