Telstra employee jailed over mobile thefts

AdelaideNow... Telstra employee jailed over mobile thefts: "A TELSTRA employee stole more than $90,000 worth of mobile phones to feed his drinking and gambling addiction, a court has been told."

Unfortunately it's a vicious circle and it would be very difficult to be employing such people and then so hard for the employee to be able to deal with their own behaviour. The community then has to remedy it in some way...so it is lose, lose, lose. It'll make it difficult for others to become employed but for as long as addiction lasts we are just going to have to front up and deal with it as a team. Addiction is an illness and has to be managed as such the same as any other debilitating illness.
