Ethanol frenzy feeding US corn boom

Ethanol frenzy feeding US corn boom : "But come harvest time in October, some of the corn will not be going into food products such as corn syrup (widely used as a food sweetener) or corn starch, it will end up in service stations."

Indeed , indeed. For the corn farmers, it's great but it means quite a few things will change in the US and it seems they are quite ingenious at dealing with the changes. I saw on the French news last night that the pig farmers in America really had to be thinking outside the square to get food for their pigs because the corn wasn't available. It was going into he manufacture of ethanol. Well, can't starve the poor pigs or no dinner for you! So the pig farmers had used a pig nutritionist and had come up with this amazing mix of feed with chocolate and M&Ms mixed into it. The little pigs looked really happy and well on it...and so clean and pink! There was a lot of other stuff in the feed too...and I'd share that with you if I could remember!! Oh, thank heavens for the Net:
