National Sorry Day

Labor eHerald: National Sorry Day: "In Adelaide, events will be held at the Migration Museum, 82 Kintore Avenue, Adelaide"

May 26th is National Sorry Day and it's a day where Australians focus on healing needed in our society so we can achieve reconciliation and, as a group, we apologise to our indigenous people for the damage done to them by people who came to Australia. Our government has not participated in a formal recognition of things like Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander children were removed from their families. Our Migration Museum is staging events this weekend for us. A lot of Australians would like to say sorry as part of an official ceremony, so this is how we do it. We didn't do it but we really are sorry it occurred.
