Living tribute to mum

AdelaideNow... Living tribute to mum: "Planting a tree is free but donations are encouraged. All proceeds go to the not for profit organisation Good Grief which helps people dealing with grief."
This is a nice gesture which helps if you miss your mother on Mother's Day. It will help our environment too. It's the sort of thing which Adelaide comes up with. You get the tree free. Personally, I plant bulbs to remember my mum. She was a great lover of bulbs. Her tree encounters tended to be fraught with disaster but have been great yarns to tell. So tomorrow, I shall participate in whatever is sent my way as a mother and I planted my bulbs in today's lovely sunny weather. I am lucky that my mum taught me to really enjoy the good things that other people have in their lives and to share in that. That was such a strong message from her. So I won't miss her or feel bad tomorrow, I'll enjoy seeing other people being treated on Mother's Day, I'll have my own treats no doubt and it'll be good to hear on Monday what everyone did . I know a lot of mums are going to get Haigh's chocolates. It was absolutely jam packed. We tend to make it a real family thing here and it's not so much about gifts, but about a nice family day...so the tree planting really fits in.
