Boost language skills: business : "These include the recommendation to teach children a foreign language from an early age to help them cope in a 'globalised' world."
It's true. When you have a global company, why would you employ someone who speaks only one language when you can have soemone who speaks 2 or 3 and has a smattering of a couple on others? When you do deals, it's important to meet people on their own ground and when you want to elicit goodwill, then you have to meet people half way. Most earthlings understand this because they do speak more than one language. Besides, there's plenty of research to suggest languages and music aid thinking and intellectual development and are helping to ward off Alzheimers. We need to get with the programme, n'est-ce pas?
