Princess Bea's teacher accused of pedophilia

AdelaideNow... Princess Bea's teacher acused of pedophilia: "'The arrest was made following a proactive online investigation by child protection detectives. He was taken to a Belgravia police station for questioning and was bailed to return on March 5.'"

Well, I don't think being Princess Bea's teacher has anything to do with it. I think that the online investigation by child protection detectives is the most important thing. The fact that these police are able to identify and apprehend people who would do harm to young people. It shows that the police are right up there with their techniques and investigative capabilities. I do not support the witch hunt into pedophiles because it must make some men feel very uncomfortable. They must wonder whether they can genuinely express affection or not or whether the affection they are showing is appropriate. All people need love and appreciation. That we have to keep avoid touching is not good but the consequences for those who become victims of people who are incapable of genuine affection is severe. It is a horrible thought that some people go online to entice the innocent to use them for their own purposes. Clearly it has to be monitored and clearly this case proves what has always been said - that child abusers will find the jobs and places to be so that they can abuse children. It means we have to be more careful as we employ people and that a track record of proper behaviour is probably a clear indicator someone is trustworthy. I don't know. No one sends their children to school to be abused and no one wants their children to be taught by someone who would manipulate children into unsavoury behaviour. Same with the Net. We do have to teach our children how to keep themselves safe. It is no different from being in the real world. It is for that reason my computer has always been in the lounge. Not until children became much older did they have the right to use a computer in their room. Apart from safety issues, the computer in the lounge became a great way to share experiences and discoveries. It was always one of thte things which automatically engaged everyone in good conversation...and when things went adrift for anyone , there were people there to balance the experience and talk others through it.
