Mini-satellites on bushfire patrol :
"Euro Pacific Strategies chief Tony Sheehan said the Victorian and South Australian governments had expressed interest in the project and South Australia had signed a memorandum of understanding to support it. He said Adelaide had been chosen as the project's base and said up to 300 jobs would be created."
This is brilliant. Brillaint because we can do it and brilliant because it will be such a help. Information is power. The more information we can access, the better we can distribute and activate our resources. Germany and Australia have had a long and happy association. The Germans make themselves at home here because they appreciate the big sky and the beer! They like the wide open spaces. Much of South Australia was settled by Germans and their heritage here helps them feel at home. The great thing about these mini satellites is people can access the information through mobile and Net technology. What a great millennium breakthough.
