Stealthy Lightning

Lightning sparks blazes, blackouts across SA. :

"Stormy weather has caused blackouts and fires across South Australia, with lightning sparking several small fires overnight."

Interesting storm that one because initially the lightning was silent and we had no idea there was actually a storm. The lightning went backwards and forwards from west to east again. Then , eventually the thunder kicked in. That was better because stealthy lightning was a bit odd. It was quite bizarre though. I was kept awake by the thunder and others were kept awake by the winds around 2am which I did not hear at all and had no inkling for a while there had been wind. Normally the gum trees shed a lot of branches, leaves and bark when it's windy and I spend about half and hour cleaning the debris. Took me a while to realise my trellis fence had been broken and I have spent the morning repairing it. If we are getting that kind of wind here, I daresay others have sustained considerable damage and that is not a good start to the New Year. As long as they are safe. The garden is so dry still. There was no indication there had been some soaking rain even though it had rained.
It was pretty hot and humid out there this morning!
