Glenelg

AdelaideNow... Top beach trashed:

"Professor Andrew Short, Coastal Studies Unit director at the University of Sydney, says Glenelg is being 'trashed' for much of the year by sand carting.

Rubble, compacted sand and seagrass build-up have turned the popular beach into a flat, grey expanse for the start of summer."

I don't think there will be many arguments. Glenelg is becoming less desirable for all sorts of reasons. It hasn't been one of our popular beaches for a long time . Glenelg was great. The people who live there use it. The tourists come in. It can be a great place but here are some real issues because it has been over built and the young ones can be very destructive and negative.
