Drivers say train rage increasing

Drivers say train rage increasing :

"■ A driver was punched in the head at Melbourne Central station.

■ A passenger entered the driver's cab and threw a dirty nappy in his face at Balaclava station.

■ A group of teenagers refused to get off a train that terminated at Hurstbridge and tried to bribe the driver with an offer of $50 to take them back to Eltham."

When I was on the plane to Sydney earlier this year , the couple I sat with said this kind of thing was happening in Sydney too. If people are behaving badly then it's a sign we have lost social control. So again, where are the parents? It's about how people are brought up and increasingly we think we can do as we please and behaving badly is an indicator of no social system. We've lost it. We can practice our f offs, as Billy Connolly would recommend, but I think we need to put people on the trains who will restore some good manners and respect. We won't have either public transport or tourists if this keeps up. Who do they think they are? We had a bus load of screeching 6 year olds the teacher couldn't control last week. There were some other students from another school who were totally socialised. I think we have to refuse to put up will ill bred children. Indulging them lets them carry on that way. So, where are the parents? At the moment we all seem to be discussing why some parents are not looking after their children and they are the minority but they are having a massive impact on the rest of us...and are allowed to. Why?
