Dramatic end to Stormy siege

AdelaideNow... Dramatic end to Stormy siege:

"ADELAIDE madam Stormy Summer's last stand at her Waymouth St house ended dramatically this afternoon with the arrival of STAR Group officers and the arrest of her husband."

Stormy Summers has been in Adelaide news on and off for years. She is part of the landscape and one of our high profile characters. With a brothel in Waymouth Street, which she appears not to have been able to keep financially viable, the exit was always going to be dramatic. Her husband came out with a knife. Thing is...this is their place, as they see it. It's their part of Adelaide and to relinquish it would have been upsetting. So upsetting we needed the STAR group of officiers, but that's Stormy and she's a bit of a legend in her own way. She may be losing her impact now, and morally I should be disapproving of her, but I think it would be good to look at her life and her history because as naughty as she is and has been, she has added local colour. I know she has to lose that Waymouth Street property because it's a high profile area and fairly central to normal living in town now. I just feel like we need to pay Stormy a bit of a tribute even though she is a brothel madam. She's a character. From what I saw on the news the police were very pateient and respectful of her and her husband and managed a tricky situation with a lot of calm. It was actually great to see Adelaide news on the news and most of our news tonight was about us and our state, so it was fantastic. It means we are centring ourselves before we look out. Well done!!
