AdelaideNow... Policeman risks his life:
"Constable Clifton, 36, praised for his actions this year when he swam to save a young boy and his father from drowning at Port Noarlunga, hung on to the forks of the motorbike which had just run over him."
This is the policeman I blogged about yeterday, and truly, he is worth his wait in gold. Already he has saved a father and son from drowning and now , even though the motorbike, was driven into his legs, he held on so the thief could be caught and given the felon had robbed numerous people and stolen the motorbike , this policeman is doing what we need ... helping keep us safe and well. He thinks well on his feet, he clearly has good problem solving skills and has the capacity to weigh up risks very quickly. He is such a legend and I am so grateful we have this type of officer onboard. Man of Steel. I am so glad he hasn't been hurt too badly because I woke up this morning wondering what damage might have been done to his legs. The guy on the bike is so gutless. Driven, probably, but gutless. It's pretty sad our police have to take such risks to protect us because those without boundaries are upping the ante. It's good we have officers who can not only match them but outwit them. Constable Clifton obviously has a lot of inner strength. It's that which wins the day.
