Desalinated water flows in Perth

AdelaideNow... Desalinated water flows in Perth:

"Water from the $387 million seawater desalination facility at Kwinana, south of the city, began pumping through Perth's supply system, Premier Alan Carpenter said.

It will supply 17 per cent of the city's water when it ramps up to full capacity in two months time, he said."

Well, more positive news and that is how it should be. We need to deal with the problems in a logical fashion. I know we have to tackle the melting ice caps, and we could if we put our minds to it, but at the moment, we need water and rising oceans can be recycled and it is at least putting water back into our system. We need to treat the causes and we need to get serious about that, but the Perth desalination plant is a move forward for now because it takes the pressure off Perth. Hoorah and well done....and it'll be a good way to see how this technology operates so we can make some sensible decisions.
