Aussie bosses back the siesta

Aussie bosses back the siesta :

"MOST Australian bosses believe a nap in the middle of the day helps productivity, a survey has found.

It could help workers stay more alert after a sleepless night and potentially save companies millions."

The siesta is a good idea but wouldn't work because it would lengthen the working day and then people with children or ageing parents would never have a chance to get some time to themselves. We rely on picking up kids, or visiting parents, getting dinner and then collapsing with or without more things to do. But judging by how many people fall into quite a deep sleep on the train either in the morning or on the way home, I'd say people are exhausted and a nap at work might help. Poeple wouldn;'t do it though because they probably wouldn't feel secure and relaxed and they would probably never get going again!! Nice thought. We don't have the really long lunch breaks like some people, but we do have the warm climate in the summer , so maybe we need to keep talking about this. The school day would have to be restructured and that might not be such a bad thing.
