In my experience , Australia comes as a surprise to many tourists. The size, the colour, the sameness and yet the great variety of landscapes and then the Australian way of life. They like walking on the beaches. They like the entertainment. They love the outback areas and the aboriginal things.They fall in love with our real Australia. Then they like the music and the food. Sometimes they come, go away and come back again. Others get here and are so at home and at ease they just stay on because they want to see more of Australia. What I really like about our tourists is they are prepared to travel the huge distances and visit some of the places we really value and they are prepared to talk to us and follow our suggestions. Then they come back with their own version of the trip and seeing it through their eyes gives us pleasure. The tourists are great. They just become one of the tribe really quickly.
