Real bull bar menace

AdelaideNow... Real bull bar menace:

"'The polymer bull bars are much lighter and not as stiff as metal bars so in an impact with a pedestrian, they tend to give a bit more,' Dr Robert Anderson, of CASA, said."

What is it? A picture is worth a thousand words? The news tonight , in conjunction with researchers, showed and explained how metal bull bars were so hazardous to pedestrians. The lethal impact even at 15KPH was just so clear. It was a great piece of reporting and a real community effort. The researchers have done something really good for us and the news brought it home in a well presented, neat package. The polymer bull bars were obviously safer. The visual impact and lessons learned were instantaneous and you can't get better than that. Bull bars in the country and on the open roads are a different matter. Well done!!
