Earth's temperature nears million-year high.

Earth's temperature nears million-year high. :

"Earth may be close to the warmest it has been in the last million years, especially in the part of the Pacific Ocean where potentially violent El Nino weather patterns are born."

We are completely derelict in our duties as keepers of the planet. We have lost the rhythm of life. We have lost the change of seasons. We are steeped in alarming weather changes and all we do is talk. Talk, talk, talk. We do nothing really to isolate and deal with the things which are causing these degrading changes to our environment. We haven't really rallied and made a decision to turn back what we have done. So why is the weather machine broken and why is it all happening so fast? Our greenhouse gases have not increased that much, I wouldn't have thought, and yet our weather has become very quixotic, lethal and not at all real weather. As a planet this ought to be right at the top of the agenda and we ought to be working together on it. No one seems to be much worried we'll have droughts. Why is that? There are investigations, committees, bodies, forums but we need some global action and we need to be clear about the cause and effect relationships we identify.
