Arson strike force to be reinstated :

"Police Minister Carl Scully says the government will re-establish strike Force Tronto which was set up to investigate the 2001 Christmas-New Year bushfires that destroyed more than 100 homes and was disbanded afterwards."

Arson in this country has to be one of the most heinous cromes. It is something which is inexcusable and unforgiveable. The damage, the death, the strain and the complete waste of resources is something which cannot be excused. The NSW fire fighters have been doing it hard year after year. Their task has been relentless and exhausting. To think someone just lit the fires is beyond comprehension. The anti arson task force will help but we are just going to have to be more community minded and our children will need to be brought up that way.
