English carp over Australia's 'river rabbits'

Poms carp over Australia's 'river rabbits' :

"In what most Australians would consider lunacy, English fishery operator Steve Couch has offered more than $600,000 for shipments of live Australian carp."

OMG!!! They can have them. I doubt they have diseases because they are so big, fat, shiny and healthy ( ugly, thouhg. So ugly)but I can understand why they would not want to threaten their own fish. We are the same...but the carp...have them!! Have all you want. We had them in the Torrens and in the Botanic Gardens in the lake by the kiosk. Massive big mouthed things. When my daughter was little she was astounded by how huge they were.Great gaping things. You could feed them heaps . They kept multiplying and in the end we cleaned the river of them so we could actually do things with the water! It was just thick, brown and teeming. Some people eat them here but they have a very muddy taste. Have them. They grow really well! I am curious to know if the Austrlaian ones will shrink in size in the cooler climate. They are so prolofic . I guess they are good to fish and learn fishing.
