Families launch into carbon trading

Families launch into carbon trading :

"In a day's work at a Blacktown shopping centre yesterday, Sydney-based company Easy Being Green collected hundreds of tonnes of carbon credits in exchange for six packs of energy-efficient light bulbs and a water-saving shower head."

States and private companies are showing some really productive ways of getting us to save energy and to be energy efficient. Once you show us, we are pretty good at following through. South Australia has really been pushing solar power,in particular, and alternative energies are starting to gain momentum. NSW is getting in on the carbon trading to get people motivated and moving the the Easy Being Green is holding the light up for everyone. It's true hwt Mr. Gilding says, we keep being told we can't, or it will cost us or we have to have outages, black outs and other inconveniences. These approaches show us we can be in control because as a co operative team we haul a lot of power ourselves. We can get off our bums and make changes. The power of one is undiminished.
