Millions fail to cure river

The Advertiser: Millions fail to cure river :

"SOUTH Australians have paid out more than $33 million through a water catchment levy to fix the River Torrens, which today remains a rubbish-filled container of toxic waste."

Here we go again...not I said the duck, not I said the goose...we have paid the levies and we are still at fault. So, get peole who can fix our river, give the money back and let us pay it to people who actually want to clean up our river. It could look beautiful. It could be brilliant but that the councils are just all saying well, that's how it is, it's someone else's problem, then stop taking the moeny. The Torrens could look so fantastic and when you see other places with great rivers which they really make use of then we are sounding pretty feeble. So who actually cares and what actually can be done..and yes, we are all part of the problem, so we'll all help fix it if you adopt a system which works better than levies.
