Australia prepared to satisfy new demand

The Advertiser: Australia prepared to satisfy new demand :

"URANIUM is 'coming in from the cold' as a viable energy option, according to a top energy bureaucrat."

Oh yes? I don't think it's coming in from anywhere. It's going out. I don't think we have any say in it and know it so the opinions we hold are not relevant. Open cut mines and sales tend to suggest state policies and any other beliefs are not going to be considered. It's all money. Which is a shame because if we really did discuss this, if we really did talk about it and inform ourselves about it, we might actually think well, there's something in using nuclear energy in the short term when the climate is so awry. The constant fear is its use for nuclear weapons and not knowing who will do that and explode us all to kingdom come. No use worry about the climate if some nutter is going to find the planet excess to requirements. As it stands money talks full stop end of story.
