The Advertiser: Stem cells used to mend hearts :
"Cardiologist Suku Thambar said 100 million stem cells were injected into the men's hearts last week in an experimental procedure researchers hoped would improve cardiac function and, therefore, quality of life."
Both of the men have had bypass operations and at the moement they are testing the safety of stem cell treatments. It would be so wonderful if heart conditions could be a thing of the past because we had something to repair the damage. We do have wonderful heart surgeons and they have saved many lives, but how wonderful if stem cells ould be the answer. So little trama all round. I look forward to hearing about the progress of these cases.
