Die and let live

The Advertiser: Die and let live :

"In a race against the clock, surgeons at Flinders Medical Centre lowered his body temperature, paralysed his heart, stopped his circulation, halted his breathing, removed most of his blood and then performed delicate heart and abdominal surgery while he lay in a state of suspended animation."

Unbelievable!! I saw this on a ficitonal, medical show a few weeks back. It all seemed plausible...and here it is happening in real life. I hope Bill continues to thrive and I am in awe of our surgeons. They must have nerves of steel. He had a one in ten chance of surviving.
