After the tsunami, Aceh's young turn to drugs

After the tsunami, Aceh's young turn to drugs:

"'Everybody we asked spoke of youth being more out of control now,' he said. 'They're traumatised, there's not enough jobs, there's nothing for them to do, so they're looking for some kind of escape.'

Selling the drug had become extremely profitable, he said."

Drugs are everywhere and they turn a good profit. So who is making the big money? Who organises al of this because the drug use in the young in Aceh has doubled. Who thought to supply them , I wonder?

We need to go back to the 1988 United Nations Convention Against Illicit Traffic In Narcotic Drugs And Psychotropic Substances. The EU has had some amendments and thoughts about it sitting there since 2003 because they too, are aware the drug trade has just blown out. So let's go back to this document and start working towards DECREASING it and:

"Recognizing also the importance of strengthening and enhancing effective legal means for international co-operation in criminal matters for suppressing the international criminal activities of illicit traffic,

Desiring to conclude a comprehensive, effective and operative international convention that is directed specifically against illicit traffic and that considers the various aspects of the problem as a whole, in particular those aspects not envisaged in the existing treaties in the field of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances"
