Telstra overstepped the line?

Australian IT - Telstra denies staff spying :

"After The Australian obtained internal documents revealing the company could keep files on sexual preferences and religious and political beliefs, Telstra posted a memo to its 40,000 staff yesterday insisting it did not compile dirt files but admitting sensitive information could be collected 'inadvertently'."

No wonder the bush lines come and go, drop in and out...they are busy inadvertently collecting sensitive information. Hm....very interesting. No wonder the media finds it so easy to get the good oil on someone if everyone is inadvertently collecting all this sensitive stuff just in case. When you look of the amount of surveillance at Telstra...the mind boggles. Big Brother is alive and well...and there's a camera near you in the loo. Why are people suffering from terminal nosiness all of a sudden? Maybe not. Maybe we were always this nosy. No wonder nothing gets done in the bush. What happened to discretion? Keeping mum?
