Adelaide centre responsible for tsunami detection.

New centre responsible for tsunami detection.:

"'When you put those two things together what you find is Australia is playing a key role in helping to protect not only our own coast, but also coastal communities throughout the Indian Ocean,' he said."

Well, more good news. This centre at the National Tidal Centre will work in conjunction with the Indian Tsunami Centre in Perth to help do our part to monitor activity in our neck of the woods. Wonder what's happening to help the eastern coast and whether this will pick up the stuff off Tasmania which had occurred before the Boxing Day tsunami.
