How to Decommission Hubble Safely

Bringing Down the House: How to Decommission Hubble Safely:

"The answer may foretell when, and if, NASA can pull itself out of low Earth orbit and think bigger thoughts."

I am reading everywhere that NASA is seriously thinking of bringing down Hubble. They think Hubble is getting too old. So think outside the square!! Think big. THINK!! Everywhere I go Hubble is personified, that's how much Hubble has become a part of our planet earth lives. You'd think NASA would talk about this instead of making a big announcement. You'd think scientists and astronomers would discuss this. You'd think , given that Hubble is such a well respected piece of equipment, there'd be lengthy consideration of a lengthy list of options. There could even be collaboration bewtween nations to solve the problems. Nah! Bring it down!! Just scrap it and we'll think about something else. Well...think, people, because I don't want to be splattered by Hubble bits when Hubble could float around up there quite happily and productively. Hubble is extremely expensive equipment. Don't make me cry!
