Red Bull may boost heart disease risk

Red Bull may boost heart disease risk : "DRINKING just one can of the popular Red Bull energy drink may be enough to increase dramatically the risk of developing life-threatening blood clots, even in healthy young people."

Last time I was a the petrol station there were two car loads of young guys obviously off on a fishing jaunt. They were cheerful, happy, having fun and just being mates...but as they paid for the petrol they were all buying doughnuts and Red Bull. Not just one lot...lots. Caffeine has a big impact on your heart. It just does. When you are older you can really notice it but these young guys may be oblivious to its effects or just think it keeps them more awake or alert. Some kids drink about 8-10 bottles a day. That is way to much. I really wonder why manufacturers think to do this to people and then say it's their choice. Why make stuff like that in the first place? trouble is , it has a coolness factor and the only way to combat that is with the honest truth. Clear, unadulterated truth can't be argued with. Apart from the effects discussed in the article caffeine can give you an ectopic heart beat and that can potentially lead to arrhythmia. Let me see...Red Bull...or heart disease? Red Bull or cardiovascular problems? they need to go and look at some heart patients and look at the reality of recovering from heart surgery.I think the researchers need to get the facts and then the truth needs to be given to the public and then I should like to think we now live in an age of accountability. We have been off the hook with humanity for too long.
